The breadth of experience across the divisions means that even complex projects meet the company’ s high standards. One recent project that provides a good example is La Estancia. The scope of the project included earth and underground work, concreting, and paving as part of a new development of 100 lots for Richmond American Homes. There were some unique challenges on this project, for example, it was built off of a ten-year-old set of plans that had been prepared by a firm that was no longer in business. KE & G had to work closely with city personnel and a new engineering firm to ensure compliance with current standards and as such, many field fits and alterations were required due to plan errors and omissions.
Committed to excellence
The business is celebrating its tenth year of operating as 100-percent employee owned. Over that time, KE & G has experienced tremendous growth.
This sustained success has enabled the business to strategically invest in equipment and infrastructure, enabling it to maintain its position at the cutting edge. Over the past three years, for example, the company has invested in new machinery and equipment, including upgrades last year. This has enabled the business to expand not only in terms of the number of concurrent projects but also in terms of its geographical footprint as it increases its interest in the Southwest of Arizona. The company’ s commitment to excellence and upholding the highest standards has been repeatedly recognized by the industry. KE & G has won 21 awards in the last five years including: the Esop Association Company of the Year award, several awards for the Patagonia wastewater treatment plant improvements,
