“ A project that we recently completed was the Mayflower Hill Residence Hall at Colby College. This was one of the most distinctive and technically advanced projects Landry / French has undertaken,” Kevin reveals.“ The residence hall is designed to complement Colby’ s historic campus while embracing modern sustainability and student-centered design. It features a sandstone brick exterior with extensive glazing, double-pitched roofs that echo traditional New England architecture, and natural mass timber exposed throughout the interior. Measuring 112,000 square feet, the residence hall is Maine’ s largest mass timber( CLT) building, constructed with cross-laminated timber( CLT) floors supported by glulam columns and beams and comprised of six interconnected three and four-story buildings.
