“ All of our work is negotiated rather than hard bid. We respond to requests for proposal or negotiate directly with clients, which means we have the opportunity to work with people we really want to work with, on projects that truly mean something to us. Our purpose statement is building places that matter and relationships that last, and that is precisely what we do. I am proud of the type of projects we build and the relationships that we form with our clients and trade partners. But when I talk about that purpose statement with our team, I always point out that it applies internally too. Construction is a place that matters, and the relationships we build with one another matter just as much. Taking care of each other is something that has been passed down through the Bouten family over many years, and it is something we intend to carry forward,” Tim adds.
A current project that brings all of that together particularly well is a 30- acre medical campus in Post Falls, Idaho. This development serves as a great example of Bouten’ s commitment to longstanding relationships and what fostering them can achieve. The first phase of the
