Headquartered in Bradenton, Florida, with its Indiana operations still thriving under thirdgeneration leadership, the company remains proudly family owned and operated. Today, Woodruff & Sons is led by its President Donald Woodruff, Roy’ s son, alongside his siblings Bruce and Linda, and continues to deliver highquality infrastructure solutions – from underground utilities and roadway construction to site development and material recycling – while staying true to the values on which it was established.
In commemoration of this anniversary, Construction Today sits down with Don to learn more about Woodruff & Sons’ most recent projects and developments, as well as the differentiating factors that keep the business at the forefront of the market.
“ Our reputation is well known throughout Central Florida and northern Indiana for having the capabilities and expertise to complete the most complex and difficult projects – with a focus on underground utilities,” Don begins.“ Our father always sought out the most challenging projects. He had a very creative mind and was extremely innovative when it came to finding ways to get things done. He was able to visualize how he wanted to construct something and, if there was a tool or piece of equipment that he needed to facilitate his vision that wasn’ t available, he would fabricate it. He did receive patents for three of his inventions which are still being built by manufacturers today.”
